Mauricio Amaya was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, but has made Atlanta, Georgia, USA, his home since 1983.
A chemist by profession, he has been participating in the Atlanta artistic and music scene for a few years, doing his solo gigs but mostly playing with his band "Vientos del Pueblo" (Winds of the People).
